Edzi’u is a Tahltan/Tlingit mixed race femme soprano and has been singing music of all genres since she could stand. Since 2013 she has been singing and studying classical music at Vancouver Community College where she is near completion of her major in contemporary music composition with a classical voice minor. She has studied under Paula Kremer, Gerald Van Wyck and most recently Dorothea Hayley.
Currently outside of choir she is focusing on writing and is working on honoring her grandmothers’ voices, stories and culture through electronic music and voice. Edzi’u is excited to further discover how school has changed how she explores music. She can often be found chasing after her puppy, running through the forest and drinking too much coffee in her cozy kitchen.
