Diane Speirs has had a diverse career as a singer, conductor, and teacher. She has sung a number of opera and musical theatre roles and performs regularly as a member of the Vancouver Opera Chorus. She sang a role in the new opera by Tobin Stokes and Margaret Atwood on the life of Pauline Johnson which premiered in Vancouver in 2014. Recent music directing has included productions of Candide, Old Maid and the Thief and HMS Pinafore. Ms. Speirs is currently on faculty at Studio 58, Langara College’s professional theatre program. She holds a Bachelor of Education degree from University of Regina and a Master of Music in vocal performance from University of Toronto.
